Even if Literal digital services or materials are offered in conjunction with an outside partner, the partner will not receive any individual personal information from users of theSite, including children. Literal may provide partners with aggregate orde-identified information about users.

What Information Do We Collect About Children and Why?

We collect personal information from children to track their progress and for educational purposes only.
How Information is Collected.
Direct Collection: We collect names, usernames, and email addresses to track course progress and for account management.
Automatic Collection
: This includes domain name, browser type, page views, and other usage statistics.
Other Information Collected: We collect performance data for internal use and do not disclose it in a personally identifiable form.

From children under 13,we utilize the date of birth to verify the child’s age but do not store the age. We only store whether or not they are under 13. If a child is under 13, we collect the child’s first name, and last initial. We do not ask children for their full last name. Children must create their own usernames, and provide an email. We only use username and email address to track a child’s progress in our courses, authenticate logins or to reset passwords; we will not contact a child using his or her email address or username. We may also collect additional such as media interests to be used in course & book rec ommendations; however, we do not associate this with the child’s name or other personal information and we use it only to compile aggregate and de-identified information about participants in our courses. Parents may ask us to stop collecting personal information from their child by emailing us at privacy@LiteralApp.com, however, in such cases the child will not be able to take or complete our material. If a parent directs us to stop collecting and using a child’s personal information, we must disable his or her use of our materials to ensure that no information is collected.

Sharing of Children’s Information

We do not sell children’s personal information. Information may be shared with service providers when required by law.Parents can request information about their child’s data.
